Anyone used a VT Bass into a Berg NV610

I am thinking of picking up a VT Bass Deluxe to use as a preamp when I get my Berg NV610. I cannot imagine this sounding anything less than stellar, anyone have any experience with this setup?

not with that cab, but it does sound great in my vintage 810 and my b-15 cabs. used to use it into the effects return of a crate power block. the only problem i've found with doing that is making volume adjustments on the fly. it's darn near impossible to do it with the vtd by itself. Putnam Guitars - Custom guitars mods amps pedals effects speakers might offer a master volume mod for it, but you could use your power amp for that if it has a volume knob.

My VT pedal works awesome with my NV610, but I dont have a big s/s power amp.
I just have to make do with my 40 year old SVT patched in-between instead

Me too- I echo ANDERBASS's reply. Sounds AMAZING thru the NV610. I used a '91 Ampeg SVTII & a 100w all tube Ampeg V4BH < VT BASS < P or J bass. Sounds great to add a bit of OD to the clean sound or even as just a 2nd 'channel'.
FWIW I could get the VT bass to sound virtually Identical to both the SVTII & V4BH (even with s/s pwr amps) thru a bit of knob twiddling with it.
mostly I used it to give a boost(clean OR OD) or for some grind when volumes were lower & I couldn't run the amp into OD itself..... or to 'spice' up the clean sound of a S/S amp.

The NV610 kills with pretty much any head I've put through it including the VT pedal.
