I'm thinking of purchasing this, any opinions or experiences?

Also if you had to choose between this amp and a Marshall MB4210 what one would you choose and why?

The volume difference isn't a problem for me really just sound quality is what im looking for between these too amps

thanks

If it's a sound preference, you'll need to play them both to choose.

Ashdown says that all of Dual Tube series amps and combos have same preamp, so the 220 Touring has exactly same pre as 550 Spyder. They have a different poweramp, but Ashdown claims that it makes no difference to the sound. There is a nice video of Spyder 550 on youtube, so judge for yourself. I´d definitelly take the Ashdown. I´m considering a 330 Touring as my next purchase...

exactly the same dilemma! was going to buy up the marshall but to be honest, sound quality is most important. never played a tube amp before tho, is it quite significantly quieter?
