Ashdown 4x10 louder then 2x10?

Hello

I'm planning on gettin an ashdown mag 300 combo.. However I dont know if I would like to get a 4x10 or a 2x10 combo. Im pretty sure there's a difference, but I would think there is a big difference but maybe not since its just the same wattage spread across the 4 speakers instead of the 2. But I don't know, if somebody could help me.. how actually louder is a 4x10 then a 2x10? In a perfect world it could be as twice as loud.. or maybe it is.

ashdown cabs arent bad but seem to distort at higher volumes. especially the mag cabs with the blue speakers. i owned one blew it im not sure how since my amp only pushes 250 watts at 4ohms. and if i remember right the cab handled like 300. I would go check your local guitar center and look at used cabs. i picked up a ampeg 1x15 cab for 150$

That has not been my experience at all. Even after more than 10 years of using just about every Ashdown cab series that they offer.



And I can seriously push some cabs
