Sign in to disble this ad
Hi Folks,

Just wanted to check with TB to make sure I'm not going to blow the amp with this set-up?
This is the first non combo amp I'll have used so I wanted to check I've understood how Ohms etc work?

ASHDOWN ABM 410H - Thomann UK Cyberstore
ASHDOWN ABM500 RC EVOIII - Thomann UK Cyberstore

Head minimum load is 4 Ohms, cabs is 8 Ohms at 600 Watts.
Will this work?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

You are fine.

Head minimum is 4ohms. Just means you can't run it below 4 ohms. 8ohm cabs, 16 ohm cabs will be fine.

If it's a 575 watt head you might get 350 or so (maybe 400) out of it at 8ohms. You would have to add another 8ohm bab to get the full wattage. But don't let that deter you, it's not that many dB (loudness) difference.

You can run it fine. Your head's power will be cut in half (275 watts?) though until you get another 8 ohm cab. like the 1x15 or another 4x10.
