Talking Ashdown ABM 410H cab question

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello folks,

Today I got my ashdown ABM 410H cab. (600W @ 8 Ohm)
I use a Hartke HA3500 350 watts cab. (240W @ 8 Ohm)

I like it so far, but i have a question :P.

Why are there two inputs on the back of the cab?
And there is another weird thing, it looks like two concentric cirkles, what the hell is that? :P

Greetz,
Me

The "holes" on the back are for plugging in your speaker cables. One is for the first cable and the second "hole" is for another speaker cable output to another bass cab. You can connect from the head to the cab then from the same cab to the 2nd cab.

Concentric circles? Adjustment knob on the back of the cabs? That is a tweeter control. Everything above 4-5khz goes to the tweeter and you can control the overall level of high end through the cab with the tweeter control. Test out your rig with the control low and high - see what it does to your tone.

My hartke head has 2 outputs, so it is enough to connect one output with one input on the cab? Or do I have to connect both?

One output from the head to one input on the cabinet - that is all that is needed.
