Ashdown ABM EVO III 500

Hey guys - just bought this amp and loving it. It's a minimum 4 ohm head with 2 external cab speakons. At the moment I am just running it into a Ashdown MAG 410T 8 ohm cab, maximum load 450 watts, my questions are....
At 8 ohms maximum output of the amp will be in the vicinity of 350 watts yes? And....

If I plug in an additional 8 ohm cab to the second output of the head it wont automatically create a 4 ohm load will it? I am assuming it will run both cabs at 8 ohms. My concern is the head it rated at 500watts at 4 ohms, and if I get an additional cab it will be another MAG 410 with max power handling of 450 watts. I just dont want to possibly cook the speakers.
Hope my question makes sense and sorry if a little naive.
Cheers.

if u add another cab the head will be running at 4 ohms, putting out 575 watts total (distributed evenly between your cabs) So both cabs will be receiving approximately 285 watts each, (far less than 450 handling power - but make sure to listen to them cause cabs dont usually live up to that) they should be fine.

Ah that makes sense. What about through 1 cab then? How many watts does it channel to 1 8 ohm cab?

Two 8 ohm cabs is exactly what that head is designed for.

Can I suggest something: Check out other speaker makers. I have an older ABM500 (and love it) but I never liked their cabs... It matches up PERFECTLY with my Epifani cabs, however...

Hey Harry - I dig the sound coming from the speakers. Its dark but I like it. At some stage I will add another cab, more than likely a 2x10 or maybe 2x12. Usually these cabs would rate around the 300-400 watt capacity at 8 ohms. I just dont want to overload any cabs I buy in the future by pummeling it with the full 575 watts.
