Ashdown After Eight Combo or Peavey MAX 158?

I have £100 to spend on a practise amp for school-worthiness. My choices are the two amps mentioned in the title. I mainly play rock and jazz (occasionally metal). I am looking for portability, size and (of course) sound quality. Feedback & questions appreciated!

Honestly, it's just a matter of personal preference. You should at least try to go check them both out, as well as the many other practice combo's available, and choose with your ears.

Hiya, the Peavey rage158 I didn't think a lot of. The perfect ten combo is much better than the after eight however, £100 would get you a used Perfect ten minirig which again is much better than the aforementioned.

I'm going to the music shop on Friday so I can try them out and have a shot at getting work experience!
