Hi guys. Newbie here. Ibanez is the bass, Ashdown is the amp, and the band is here: reverbnation.com/pawnbroker.
The Ashdown MAG C410T-300 EVO II 300W 4x10 Bass Combo Amp that I play through has been scratchy lately. I figured it just needed the heads cleaned, so I opened it up, got some contact cleaner in there, and it quit scratching when I turned the knobs.
But when I used it at a show, it not only scratched when I turned the knobs, it started cutting in and out. One jack is a little tweaked, but I had both jacks plugged in (I was using it with a keyboard for this particular band) and I had problems with both jacks, so it's not the jacks.
It only cuts in and out when the full band plays. I've never had this problem with it before. Anyone an expert in Ashdowns? I'm not too much of a tech guy, but I've been learning on my amps with an electrician friend. |
