Ashdown Amplifier trouble

I've been having an issue with my Ashdown MAG300H model as of late. I'm very inexperienced with the electrical end of the bass playing experience and I need some advice.

A year or two back the original fuse for the power source blew. If I remember correctly I had a hard time finding just the right fuse. Anyway I got one to work but I don't think it has ever been the same.

Yesterday I checked the back of the head because my sound has been really flat and quite frankly just garbage lately. I found that the fuse in question had been shifted over on the metal clamps that hold it (plastic cover is MIA). I pushed it back and now I'm redlining way too easily (although the sound is a little better.)

Equipment:

MAG300H (Back of the head has a fuse rating of 120V: T5AL250V 230V: T3.15AL250V) I am using a 5A20V fuse on the power source right now.

MAG 115 Deep cab (8 Ohms 250W)

MAG 410T Deep cab (8 Ohms 450W)

I play with active pickups (out of the low input) with the input knob turned up half way and I always watch the bass enhancer knob on my guitar. Frequently in the past year I have used a bass distortion pedal (the yellow Boss model) but I recently ditched it because my speakers started sounding scratchy. When I did use it, it was turned very low just for the extra boost and a little muddy sound.

There it is, that is the best I can describe it with my limited knowledge please go easy on me! Thanks.
