Ashdown bass amp advice

A friend has recently purchased ABM EVO III 500 head and 4x10 cab. This suits him fine for small gigs but he will be doing a lot of open air gigs in a few months.

For these bigger gigs he is going to add the ABM 1x15 cabinet to the 4x10. Is connecting to the second speakon output on the head sufficient or are there other ways i.e using a crossover to send the right frequencies to the right cabinet?

Tell him to get the matching 4x10.

I second the 410 instead of the 115. There is no biamping on the 500 so both speaker outs have the same signal. The 115 will not produce as much spl as the 410 and will be drowned out.

+1 to both above posts. Another identical 410 is THE answer, a 115 is a waste.
