Oldie needs help here. After years of playing, recording and touring I want a compact and lightweight head to go with my cabs. 300watts will do it, dont like graphics and dont need amp modelling. Theres a little Giant (green) or a Behringer BX4500 both for similar money. Which way to go guys? Steve. |

Just kidding! The day anyone on TB recommends a Behringer amp over any other will be a sad day!

| | | | I have owned 3 different amps, a behringer, and ashdown, and a hartke.
behringer bx1200 - still up and running, while it does not sound awesome it is loud and reliable.
Ashdown mag 300 - first one was a dud (turned on and it the speakers almost jumped out of the cab)
second one was shipped to me new, with a few wrong fuses installed. I replaced the fuses and sold it after a year of use.
Hartke lh500 - best one so far |

| | | | LG1000 Ashdown You might want to check out Thomann.com in Germany for the LG1000. I got one there for 350.00ish U.S., via web order and all you do is change the fuse and use a US power cord, after flipplng the switch on the back to115v. 500 watts ea side into 4 ohm cabs or 350w or so into ea 8ohm cab. DEAL IMHO | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
