Ashdown BTA400 and new mate

Finally managed to get hold of a Bergantinon NV610, now sitting under my BTA head - seems like a pretty damn good combo to me. When I get round to it I'll try to post some sound samples - though never sure how much it demonstrates really, with the variables of setup, acoustics and user limitations (considerable!)
For now here's a pic. Is there a Bergantino Club on here?!

Whoa...

I'm assuming BTA stands for "big tube amp," correct?

I love it!

The "big" bit is certainly correct! Sits nicely on the 610 though, could have been specially made for it.

Wow how do you like it? Ive never seen anyone that actually got one of those. Where did you come across that beast? What would you compare it to tone wise?

Very nice rig !

I really dig the Ashdown head, pretty expensive here and too powerfull (400 tubes watts!!), the berggie 6x10 is a perfect match for a tube-head.
Check out the tone of Nate Mendel of the Foo Fighters, He plays the BTA 400 too !

I like it a lot, but tbh I'm not ultra experienced so can't compare it to that many heads. I did try an Ampeg svt vr and an Aguilar db751 at the same time though. The Agiilar sounded a little sterile and the Ampeg buzzed and gave me he impression that it might turn out to be temperamental (probably wrongly). The Ashdown seems amazingly well made, really quiet for a tube head, nicely laid out contrOls.
A few places in the uk have stockif you're looking for one.
Tone wise it seems very smooth, compared to the svt for sure, so I suppose it depends whether you want that slightly rougher svt growl. I did really like the svt though, it just bothered me.
Thanks for all the comments guys, and the Foos link.
