Ashdown Cabs

Hey all,

I've been having major GAS lately and I was wondering if any of you have experience with Ashdown's 6x10 (ABM, USA, or CL) cabs or their VS212 or VS412 cabs.

I've been an Ashdown user in the past and have recently been thinking of revisiting the UK flavor.

As per usual any of your time is appreciated.

Cheers.

Sweet. I'm glad I'm the only one who has thought about this.

I haven't actually seen or heard of anybody having or using the new 610's. And I haven't seen much talk of the USA and CL series gear either. It would be interesting to see what people think of it.

Likewise Tom.

I think I'm going to enjoy the 6x10 as they are sealed and have no tweeters. The 4x12s just scream vintage fuzzy-bass-destruction. I found a store/site that delivers pretty much the whole Ashdown line-up at: gearhounds.com

I may just have to go buy one to let y'all know.

I have an Ashdown 610 CL and I love it. It's not a big bulky cab but it does sound huge. Overall the sound is huge and very solid. Every one that has heard it seems to dig the way it sounds.

When I first heard it, I thought the sound was a combination of strong punchiness and ballsy but with some extra thickness. I had no clue that it had 6 10's until I asked(I thought that maybe it was a 15 with 2 10's). I was shocked to find out that it was 6 10's. And for me the added plus is that it's not a big giant cab with 6 10's in it.
