Ashdown evo 3

Hi folks, I posted a thread here recently asking about decent amps on a budget. I'm a guitar player transferring to bass to play in a band.

I've found this for sale and its right on my doorstep http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/as...tom/1008835360

would this coupled with an Ashdown evo 3 head give me enough power to cut through with a full band at small gigs etc?

Should be fine, I have the exact same setup, with a 210 250w Ashdown cab and the Evo 2 head with 300w, cut through fine at gigs without the volume anywhere near the max.

The head will be more than enough. I have one, the thing kicks.

The thing a lot of guitarists going to bass might not know (that was my a few years ago) is that the cab is very important.

The Ashdown puts of 575 watts, through a 610 or 810, you'll be super loud. Through a 210 or 212, you might have trouble.

What kind of cab are you using?
