ASHDOWN LITTLE GIANT?

I've sort of been in the market for a back-up/something to share the workload and came across one of these pretty cheap. I did a search but didn't find a whole lot regarding reliability/performance. These seemed to come and go on the market pretty quickly, unless I'm missing something?

I have the LG1000 as a backup and the only knock is it does not seem like 1000 watts. People have said it is a weak preamp and it does get a lot louder with a bass with strong active pre as opposed to passive bass.
Mine was less than 300.00 new on closeout from Kommen in Germany. The LG1000 is two sided just like the Genz 1200 micro. (better used choice IMHO)

I know I have to have 2 cabs in order to get the 1000w. I'm mainly planning on using it with one cab so we'll see if 500w is enough. I don't really need too much in terms of preamp requirements. The controls/buttons seem pretty flimsy but for $220 I think it's worth a shot.
