Question ashdown mag?

Sign in to disble this ad
hye everyone,

I'm thinking about buying an ashdown mag 600H evo 2 with 2 cabs (ashdown mag 410T deep cabinet + ashdown mag 115 deep cabinet).
I'm not really shure if this combination will work. will it? has somebody this combination? if it won't work what should I buy?

thanks!

Dont buy any Ashdown MAG. They sound like garbage and blow up! I had 2 MAG 300s. Both were rubbish and the 2nd went POOF! I stepped up to Ashdown MK500 - incredible amp!

i heard many unreliable thing about the mag amps. I not had my mag amp long enough to see before i upgrade to something else. MAG cab i not had any problem after 3-4 years of use and i still not had any problem with my Ashdown Electric Blue 180 combo after 3-4 years of abuse use.

Using Ashdown spyder 550 at the moment and i more than happy about it.

of the MAG cabs, I use a 210 and 115, and it blows people's minds! The cabs together compliment each other nicely without one drowning the other out.

I have used the same Mag 600R and a pair of Mag 410 cabs every weekend for the last four years. Never a problem. Sounds great and gets some pretty heavy abuse. Very under rated stuff IMO. I had an ABM500 head for about three weeks. It sounded different but certainly not better. It blew up and I just went back to using the Mag stuff.

I just picked up a Mag300 yesterday in a trade, I have to say in the 5 minutes I got to play it I much prefer it over the SWR Ive been using. Im running it through a workingmans 410T cab.

I imagine that has a lot to do with the cab, and maybe even more to do with the PA if you're being DI'd.

FWIW, I have never had an issue with any of my Ashdown gear, and that includes MAG.

I had time to play around with it more today, With the sub Harmonic knob set to 12 o'clock or beyond you can hear it working. Nice octave effect.
