Ashdown MAG300 hum

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all! I've got an Ashdown MAG300 combo which is giving me hum for no reason. It hums when nothing is plugged into the input or DI (well if it's connected to the speakers obviously). The hum is affected by the EQ when I adjust that but not by the volume controls. Even with nothing plugged in and the volume at zero there is a hum. I was wondering if anyone could suggest what my issue might be? Cheers guys!

I had the same problem with almost the same amp. Tech time i'm afraid.

Just guessing but it could be a bad filter capacitor in the power supply.
