Ashdown MiBass...

I saw a video posted on Ashdown's fb page with the message it was being launched at the Frankfurt Musik Messe 2011

Anybody got anymore info on this? It looked maybe like an updated version of the LG

Looks like it might be be an Ashdown entry into the market of small, lightweight class D amps

Picture from their fb page. Looking at the comments they are quoted as saying
"RRP on the 220 is 329 and on the 550 459 and will be shipping in August."

3.1 lbs

Comes in a 220 watt and 550 watt version.

Ashdown endorser.

Subscribed. I was just about ready to pull the trigger on another micro head - this is pretty interesting.

Spec sheet from their fb page
link

Also down at the bottom of the sheet it say that you can create your own front panel. Looks like a winner to me!!

For the non-facebook users here are a couple of images:

And from their Facebook page:

"RRP on the 220 is 329 and on the 550 459 and will be shipping in August."

Includes pre/post DI out and headphone out on the back.

I keep my fingers crossed that this one is not based on the LG1000, which to me was a complete failure and did not live up to its published stats. If that's true - this may very well be my next amp.

Here's a quick clip on the MiBass. for those who may be interested. Bang & Olufsen designed the power section.

I think I am going to hold off (I said "I think") replacing my micro head until this comes out. It looks very cool. August is a long ways away though...
