Ashdown MK 500 vs. MarkBass LMKII

Hi there,

Some guy in my university offered to trade his excellent condition Little Mark II for my Mark King 500, also in excellent condition.

For the record, I'm a big fan of MarkBass! I once tried a LMK III and was very impressed with the warmth of the tone and the size of the head itself.

I'm most probably going to proceed with the trade but I thought it would be a shame not to ask you guys what is your opinion. Would you do it?

I wouldn't, but I love my mk-500. Since you like the LM, why not? Both great amps!

Sorry, I didn't mean it that way.

The LM is a VERY popular amp around here, while the MK-500 seems rare. Any replies would reflect that, I'm sure.

Not that you have, but don't confuse the Little Mark II with the Little Mark III. They are different - not hugely, but different. I much prefer the LM II.
