By "yanked my input," do you mean you unplugged the instrument cable from the amp?

Were you using a Monster cable?

How is this a 'good question'? Because of the pervading bias against Monster Cables in this forum? I've used Monster cables with my rigs for 10 years now and never experienced anything but flawless performance, but YMMV. Address the problem without inserting personal biases... next.

To address the OP, what probably happened is that a connection or solder point came loose or maladjusted with the stress of the cable end being pulled out... OR the cable itself is now damaged. Try a different cable. Or, if you have already ruled that out, get thee to an amp tech. Fixing amps yourself is dangerous unless you REALLY know what you're doing.

Cheers...

Monster cable ruined the jack on my Spector. It's a shame because the cable was well constructed, except for the fact the jack was too big.

I've never heard of a Carvin B200. They now have a BX250 (micro) and a B2000 (monster). But no B200...
