Attention MESA M-Pulse 600 Users.. Question for you!

Hey,

I've got a Mesa M-Pulse 600.. very happy with it, sounds great at home and with a band. Has a really balanced and warm sound, but with plenty of growl and versatility.

Anyway, I just had a question about your EQ.

How do you set your EQ?

I usually just keep mine almost flat.. depending on the bass I'm using. I keep it nearly flat with my Lakland and boost the bass a bit with my Geddy. I usually don't even use the dedicated EQ section, only the preamp EQ. If I'm playing Reggae I boost the bass and cut the treble, but that's almost a given.

Anyway, how do you guys use the EQ section? Where do you set things? What cool tones have you gotten out of it?

I'm just looking for some new ideas!

I pretty well do what you do - I leave the para EQ turned off.

The manual gives a bunch of suggested settings you could run through, though.

how do you "turn off" the parametric EQ? is it that f/s switch.. If I were not buying ampeg, I'd grab this head..

also, what tubes are you guys using? how many does that head take? I have read 2..
