Or anyone that would consider themselves gear guru-ish, I have a problem with my Ampeg SVP 1600 Power amp. First off I'll tell you what I'm trying to do with my set up:

From my bass (EB Stingray 5 HH) Into a Line 6 POD X3 Live (the floor pedal) which has two separate channels that I can process, so my plan was to send two tones to my SVP power amp inputs (power amp A, and B) and then from their corresponding outputs I would go to an Ampeg 8x10 and an SWR 2x15. Now supposedly in stereo mode, I could power the two signals with two amps into two cabinets. This is not the case. I can still power both cabs from a single tone, but not from outputs A and B at the same time. The link below is the manual for the SVP, which is a beast and I love it, but I wonder if I got a defective amp possibly. Has anyone else had this problem, or if anyone has any input, just say whatever you want. I still plan to talk to ampeg tomorrow about it anyways.

Did you understand and follow every single step of your manuals Operation: Stereo Mode instructions?

Did you try swapping your 2 poweramp inputs to confirm both channels of the Pod and their patch cords are indeed functioning?

If so, your poweramp must be defective.

+1

All that stuff shoud work, although it may not be the "ideal" setup for it. I'd double and triple check cables and chicklet buttons/switches first. May be a simple "not getting your ins and outs and to's and from's" right.

Yeah all my cables work fine. This rig works great, but I just wanted two separate signals to manipulate. The manual says that, in stereo mode, the outputs would take signal from their corresponding inputs. That is where I run into trouble. The cables are fine... I don't know... I got excited about the possibility of "dual tone", and I never thought to just be satisfied with "good tone". My bass still sounds better than it ever has, but I want more more MORE

Are you absolutely certain your speakon speaker cables are wired according to the manuals instructions? (you'll need to double check that the speaker ends aren't just mis-wired and causing your problem too)

Here's a super easy test to eliminate the possibility that your Pod is the problem here:
Set up your poweramp and 2 cabs to Stereo mode configuration, and then simply plug your bass directly into each of the poweramps 2 inputs one at a time. It wont play as loud as using a preamp but should produce sound through each cab unless your poweramp is defective or your failing to do one of the poweramps Stereo mode setup steps.
