avatar 410 (non neo) +ampeg 410he?

right now im using an avatar 410 non neo and an ampeg 410 with a terror bass 500 at a total of 4ohms. its got a great sound but i was wondering could it sound better if i used identical cabs, like 2 ampegs or 2 avatars. any thoughts?

It would probably sound better with 2 of the same. The Ampeg is sealed. The Avatar is ported so it probably sounds louder and deeper. Run each cab separate and see which you like better. but try it in a band setting if you can.

It might sound even better still if you increase your wattage substantially. Five hundred watts (if that's the rating of the Terror Bass @ 4 ohms) is not a lot to fully drive eight (8) 10s.

One of the most common errors one sees, particularly from less experienced players, is the tendency to scrimp on power. There's just no reason for that. Watts are cheap.
