Thinking about going to the Avatar Neo 410 cab and the Carvin BX1500, due to weight, cost, and size (cab). You think this is a good combination? Looks like good value.
I have a RL410/R1000 now which is not too bad, but am now upgrading.

I don't think you will find much of an upgrade there. Goin to a BX1500 is a good idea, but going to another middling quality 4x10 is a dubious proposition at best.

I'd suggest you consider emailing Dave and seeing if his 15/6 kappalite cabs are due out soon, before you buy anything.

It's a good value, but not really a significant upgrade in this instance. If you're gonna drop 450+ on a cabinet, I can think of better ways to do it than moving from a 4x10 to another 4x10 with very close to the same capabilities.

Plug that BX1500 into a Carvin BRX10.4 & go slay some dragons.

I was thinking that the Avatar neo should be a good upgrade, but it's tough when you can't go out trying cabs. (hard to tell just reading specs)
There seem to be a lot of good choices in the $700-$900 range, but not so much at $500. Is something like an SWR golight 410, or others in the same range, significantly better than the cheaper offerings?

Maybe I should think outside the box (cab) and look at something like the GK neo 212 combo...
(This GAS is going to make me absolutely crazy)

If it was me I would look at the Carvin BRX 10.4 over the Avatar B410. In a comparison between my Avatar B210 and Carvin BRX 10.2 the Carvin was much more even and full sounding. The Carvin is also constructed a little better. Both are good cabinets.
