In 4 ohm versions how would these cabs compare and contrast as inexpensive, 1000w @ 4 ohm capable cabinets?

I wouldn't worry about getting the 4 ohm version... you end up just restricting yourself down the line (note, unless you have something like an SVT-CL, SVT-VR etc. that only have 4- and 2- ohm taps).
I do love my B410NEO. I don't use it much to gig anymore though, as I'm pretty much entirely IEM and through FOH for my gigs now a days (what a relief!). It sounds good, and the price was right (got it way cheaper than they go for now). It's a studry-but-light cab. I haul it alone up and down steps and what not. Gets plenty loud enough for when I do need it.

+1 to NOT limiting yourself with a 4 ohm cab. It's a trap, and any increased wattage your amp will produce with the 4 ohm cab will be absolutely meaningless. However, comparing 2 different 410's and a 412 is not fair either. A 412 will be louder. The tonal variations between all 3 are personal preference, and must be played through to make a choice.

Agreed on not 4 ohms.

I have 2 Avatar B410 neos for about a year and a half now
and love them every bit as much as the day I bought them.
Actually I ordered only one but when it arrived I was so impressed I ordered the second one.

I power with an 800w Markbass version of their LM III,
with tons of headroom to spare.

These cabs are the BOMB and I schlepp them around single-handedly (only 63lbs each) - not bad for an "old guy".

I don't think there's anything comparable on the market
at anywhere near their price.

Sounds good, perhaps 8 ohm cabinetss would be the way to go so I'd have flexability. I was having my hopes up that the B412 at 4 ohms would eliminate the need to carry around a 2nd cabinet \m/

Depends on your gig, your band, and your FOH. For me, I don't carry a single cab to gigs...

It depends. If you're sick of moving 2 cabs and know you'll NEVER want to add a 2nd cab then 4 ohms is fine. Of course, the way GAS goes with us bass players that may not be likely.

A 4 ohm 4x12 makes some sense, but the 4x10's not so much.

Even though I have 2 Avatar B410 Neos, I only
take one to most gigs because they're so powerful
and put out more than enough sound with my 800w head.

The fact that it's 8 ohms is a non-issue because of all the
headroom I have with that amp. But it's nice to have the option
of bringing a second cab, like to outdoor venues.
