Question Avatar B410 Neo vs Avatar TB153 vs Avatar B212 Neo

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone played these and able to give a decent comparison? I know the B410 Neo has an adjustable tweeter and I don't believe the TB153 does but I suppose it's "mixed" a certain way by Avatar. I would guess the 153 gives more bottom end but the 410 has more punch... or would the Avatar B212 Neo be the best of both... hmmm... Anyone?

I had both of these. For me the TB153 was clearer and more focused while giving just as much on the low end. The tweeter is adjustable, but the mid is not. The TB153 is much easier to hear on stage and pushes the low end out past the stage much better. For me it was a no brainer. You have to rethink your EQ habits with the three-way cabinets. For some that doesn't work. For me the TB153 fixes everything I don't like about 410's.

Could you give more detail? I know the mid speaker changes things but why is that a problem for people and the eq? Also is there a noticeable difference in the response/"quick punch" between the 153 and the 410?

What's the difference 'volume wise' between the tb153 and the 410?

I used to have the 410 and currently have the TB153. I'd say that the 153 puts out more volume. Definitely more off-axis volume!

You can hear the 153 quite clearly throughout the room without the dead spots common to the 410. The 153 is a seriously kick-ass cabinet!
