After reading some many positives reviews on these cabs I had made up my mind to get one only to find out there was no delivery from the site to Canada Anyways, this may not be a new development to some (or maybe everyone), but I hadn't been on their site for a while and I'm really excited about this!
Can't wait to get me a 210 Black Tolex with Black Grill, that thing is dead sexy
Any other Canucks order directly from avatar's site? Impressions?
PS.
GO HABS GO!!!!!

GO HABS GO!!!!! | I'm from Winnipeg, so I'm not exactly a Canuck, but a Jet (we can all hope a little bit, can't we?).
I got my cab shipped to me in January, it is a Neo 2X12 with rat fur, and a black metal grill. Shipping wasn't too expensive, I think it came up to 70-something, but it was speedy quick.
I ordered the cab on a Tuesday I believe, and received it Friday. I have nothing but good things to say about Dave, and Avatar, and plan on buying another cab from them sometime in the near future. |

I've got a B410 Neo and was blown away by cost, promptness, and general demeanor from everyone there. I'm sure you will be happy with it...

Just get the cab. Honestly, paying $389 for the cab is a complete steal. Add the shipping, brokerage fee, it's still worth it.
The cab sounds top notch. I would have been happy paying $600 for the cab. Though it was out of my price range, which is what convinced me to buy from Avatar, I am shocked at the quality of this cab. It sounds great, looks great, and is incredibly light. I'm only 5'9, about 130lbs, and can carry it up and down my stairs like it's nothing...
Just pull the trigger on the cab, you're not going to be disappointed. |

Steamco used to be the distributor in canada but now you can order direct. I think steamco might have a few left they are clearing out at good prices. It is cheaper now to order from the states but UPS always screws us for brokerage fees. I'm guessing it will cost an additional total of $100 for shipping, gst, and brokerage fees combined above the price of the cab.

Usually makes it not worth it in the end. | Since you're right on the border, I found a place just across the bridge from Sarnia that would accept delivery on my behalf and then I drove across and picked it up. The guy charged me $5 per package.
Surely, there's some similar outfit in Detroit. Also, UPS has an option called "hold for pickup" or some such. The vendor has to specify this option, but I think UPS will hold it for 5 business days. Again, just drive over and get it.
When I brought my package back into Canada, I told the officer what it was worth and that it was made in the US and she just waved me through, so I didn't have to pay PST or GST. Anything made in the US is duty free. |

| | | | I'm just waiting on mine to arrive.
My Wife works for a Intl Shipping company, so I had her compnay do the shipping for me.
Mosty since this will let her "self Clear" me and save teh brkerage fees.
THe shippign through her is actually more expensive than what is provided by Avatar, by about $20. That includes the brokerage fee's too.
But I get a couple of other options to offest it.
His quote to me, as of last week was $89 (for a SB112) delivered. Including broker fees. All you would be responsible for after this is GST/PST.
So really pretty good rates considering.
If you are not sure, i sent him and email with my Postal code and got back to me in a couple of hours with a "this exaclty how much shipping is for you" quote
