"The most"? The most volume? The most tone? Something else?

Really, any of the well-known, major-league brands out there would do the job, i.e. Carvin, Mackie, QSC, Crown, Crest, etc. etc.

If you can appreciate the benefits of headroom, try to get something rated in the neighborhood of 800 - 1000 watts into whatever ohmage your cab has. If you don't care - or you don't know the difference - then save the bucks and get something in the range of 300-500 watts...

fan noise

I used to use an rbi and cheap crown that was stupid deal of the day at MF. Fan noise was bad. Get a quality 800 to 1000w
after searching reviews. Just as a side note I drove my Avatar 2x12 neo with a Markbass LMII and the combo was killer. a second bassplayer on a gig I played one night had permission to use my amp. He brought the sansamp pre as a precautionary measure for tone. Did not bother with it cause he loved the LMII and Avatar 2x12 tone. Just sayin, its 500w to 500w. Used 375.00?

thanks a lot you guys, i just keep reading about people using 1000 watt power amps with 600 watt cabs and still not having enough headroom which does not make any sense to me. i definitely appreciate headroom so i will be going with the 800-1000 watt style power amp.

re headroom

hi,,,just because u got a 800 watt amp doesnt mean u have a lot of headroom..You need to read the specs on the amp and see how it is rated into what ohms.... what the THD was measured at..Go to the Crown website and read the spec sheets on their amps to get an idea...5 % THd doesnt give u any useable headroom at 800 watts(peavey and hartke overrate the useable power from there amps... I have a crown MT1200 which has 5 db of headroom at full rated output power... what I'm tryin to say is read the spec sheet and if u can't find somebodey who can help you!!

good luck

That's what I'm talking about, I have no clue what thd is.
I guess I will just ask this, will 2 8ohm avatar 2x12s daisy chained, each rated at 500 watts being pushed by a power amp that can do 1000 watts bridged at 4 ohms be anywhere as loud as a 8x10 with a power amp to match its ohmage/watts?

I love the tone I can get from 12s but I am very used to 8x10s so a 4x12 setup will be very new to me. Thanks again

do you have the cabs?

Not an expert here but why not 2 4 ohm 2x12 Avatars to max your output since you are going with a power amp setup.
If a 4 ohm cab is rated at 500w I think 8 ohm cabs are less?
Experts?

just spend up a little?

I bought the crown with the noisey fan for 300.00 or so but it would run multiple cabs.
