Avatar Speaker Question. Need Help!

Sign in to disble this ad
So, I currently have a hartke 4.5xl cab, dont really like the tone so put it on craigslist to try to sell to get money to buy an avatar 212 cab.

Found some guy that has one thats willing to do a straight up trade and save me some shipping and money hassles.

I was just wondering if anyone has pics or knows these cabs well enough to identify speakers. I want to know if these are the older ones or the new neo series ones theyre putting in.

here is what he emailed me when asked about the speakers

"on the back of the speaker, the magnet is not the typical flat bottom. it has a hole in the middle and kinda curves in. there was no writing on them that i found which would identify what kind they are. "

I am still waiting on pics and will post when recieved.

any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Ask him what it weighs. If it weighs about 60-65 pounds, it's a neo. If it weighs 90-100 pounds, it's got Deltas. Easy as pie.

My 212 delta does not weigh 90-100lbs. Maybe 75 at most

from Avatar's website:

The B212's are also available with the regular magnet, regular steel basket Eminence Delta LF speakers. They weigh more making the cab 70 lbs but have even higher power handling at 1000 W.
