What just happened? I feel like my ears have been violated.

Maybe it's kinda stereotyping, but when I watch a video on a B-15, I want motown and classic rock and 60s pop and such, not whatever that was.

However, I will say I am impressed with the sound of the amp itself. Very much so.

that's joey demaio of manowar, in case you're not familiar.

Yeah, that made me laugh when Jess said he would have been fired. Funny comment on how Everett Hull didn't allow electric basses in the shop.

I'm not familiar, and I don't believe I want to be.

*chuckle* I'd love to have a B15...but I gotta get my main rig's tone sorted out first. Is it too much to ask to have one rig (under $5K) that can do everything?

Holy jeez. I've played through a couple vintage B-15s and I never got a sound even remotely in that zingy range. Either the reissues have more treble response or his bass is a total gank machine.

the b-15r does have a tweeter and a couple extra switches. plus he said he put on new strings that day especially to try it out. so i think there was a little of both going on.

I never saw a bass player that wanted to play surf guitar so badly in all my 44 years on earth-deep surf guitar envy!

Sorry, Jimmy, that was plain awful...

Dino's clips from the B15 Heritage thread, that is my idea of a B15 sound...
