They are the same however B-stock items have some sort of defect. It may be cosmetic or it may be a refurbished item.

And since it is a Bugera/Behringer, I would take a refurb over a new unit anyday. At least if it is refurb, it already melted down once and was fixed

Actually, buying a refurb of anything with a so so quality rep is way smarter than buying the same thing new, so it's actually good advice and not a put down.

Think of it like this. It's already been through what passes for QA on it's first round, and then the defects missed (or simply overlooked and/or ignored to make production numbers) during initial manufacture have been exposed by some hapless consumer looking to save some dough by allowing price to determine their purchase decision. You avoid the " great customer service" trap along with the anger and frustration of watching the mail man walking off with your broke through no fault of your own, brand new item.

Not to mention the (usually) decent reduction in price from buying new. Authorized refurb is also a much safer option than buying used from an individual you don't know, so it's a good way for folks with limited funds to get more bang for their buck from a (relatively speaking) safer source for used gear.

If a product is basically sound but suffers from a management philosophy which favors production numbers over production quality, refurbs are the safest way to go if you want to improve your odds of winding up with a turnip instead of a turd.

I've bought b stock before and will again. Got a Cort T-34 for $175 and a DeltaLab To1 for $15 just this winter.
Its a great deal and fhm555 is dead on in his description.
