B100R vs PF500 with PF115HE

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone A/B'd a B100R with a PF500 into a PF115HE cab? I have a B100R and love the tone. Also have a PF500 and am thinking about pairing it with a PF115HE can and eventually a second cab. I know the B100R is ported and the PF115 is sealed is the difference in sound substantial? I don't need to have duplicate gear.

Not A/B'd per se, but I've played both setups. I really like my B100R, but I think if you got the PF115 with your PF500 you'd have little use for the B100R anymore. I do think the B100R looks cooler.....

Been a while since I played a B100R but I remember it as sounding pretty similar except the PF115 goes quite a bit lower, and of course the PF heads will give you more volume and headroom. A little different, but no less lovable IMHO.

Thanks for the observations. As much as I love my B100R , I may have to put it up for adoption
