Markbass Micromark.
OK I'm having a mini existential crisis here. I've been happy as a pig in poo for a couple of years now with by bass tone. My gigging rig is a Mesa Walkabout through 2 x Aggy DB112's which is a great combo to my ears. For quiet practice at home I've been noodling through a 1965 B15N.
Recently I picked up a Micromark for small jams - something uber-portable for no fuss rehearsals with a low volume band, backyard jamming and headphone practice. It's not the loudest amp on the planet but has a surprisingly good tone in fact it's so good that I've started preferring it to my 'boutique' rigs. It's really even, smooth, articulate, clear and punchy. Maybe I'm preferring a solid state tone in my old age??
I realise this thread is pretty pointless....just had to get it out of my system and share a bit of love for the teensiest Markbass of them all. Thought I was over GAS. Just wish the Micro was a bit louder. Might have to roadtest a Minimark or try an LM2/3 through the DB's
May do Jordie. It took me a while to find it tho - a 240V WA is pretty hard to track down.... so don't want to rush into anything just yet.
There's a good chance that my 240V B15N might be on the chopping block. I'm just not getting enough use out of it to warrant having it around. It needs more love.
... There's also a possibility that I might upgrade my micro to a mini - so if you like how it sounds gimme a yell. Love the tone but wish there was a bit more on tap for gigging.

dang, you spent so much time and effort getting the rattles out of it. oh well, if you do sell it, you'll free up some major cash since those things can't be cheap down there. but i think the better solution is just to get into a low volume band and...oh yeah, the micromark...i forgot.
