And am I hurting my b25b (16 ohm amp) if I use something less than 16 ohms?

Are you thinking about using the speaker in the BA115 as a cabinet for your B25? I was thinking about doing the same thing. The BA115 has a 4ohm speaker. Most people will tell you not to do it. I ran my B25 into a 4ohm cabinet for many years. I eventually needed to get it recapped and retubed, probably from running it into the 4ohm cabinet.

Yes, my friend helped me to modify the ba115 to separate the speaker and the amp. I was going to use the b25b with the ba115 speaker until I get the matching cab running. (needs rewiring, the previous owner had the original 4 pin jack removed and hardwired it)
I am trying to rewire the selector switch in and put in an xlr but I keep getting buzzing like its a ground problem.

A tube amp should have its load and OPT tap matched. Running a 4Ω load on a 16Ω tap is not a wise thing to do.

What are you trying to accomplish and what selector switch? What is the XLR for?

The b25b cabinet originally came wired with a switch that could change the speakers between series (16 ohms) and parallel (4 ohms). Mine was bypassed and there was no input into the cab. The seller gave me a pair of XLR (male panel and female connector) to wire in for the input. Maybe I have some wires crossed, but I have a buzz now with the XLR.

I've been thinking of changing the speaker in my BA115, maybe I could get more dynamic range out of it, more clean headroom if not more volume, as it stands it's kind of boxy sounding, but then again that's the nature of the beast with alot of 1-15 combos.

right. i doubt you'll get more out of it with a speaker change, and you may even get less. it was designed around that speaker.

Is there something I can get to change the impediance from 4 ohms to 16 ohms? A converter of sorts perhaps? Does such a thing exist?

Yes but it's too damn expensive and difficult to find.

So, if I cant get my b25b hooked up with my ba115 without ruining one, what should I do?
I got the b25b cab working now for my home, but its impossible for me to travel with it (small car)
What should I do for when I play out (I don't play at gigs, just practice over a friend's house)
I would like to use the b25b head with something, but it needs to be small enough to travel.
Any ideas? Without buying a van...

Get a B-15 stacking cabinet from fliptops with a 16 ohm speaker installed.

I'll look into that.
I was thinking maybe a SVT210AV.
Anyone used one?
I know its 8 ohms, but I have heard that the b25b can do it if I plug something in the extension speaker jack. Is that correct?
