BAD Bassic15 - Au Naturale

This was build by Don Barry, one of the nicest looking cabs I have ever seen. Loaded with an 8 Ohm 15PR400.

If you are interested in more of his work, here is Don's site:

And his FB page:

Nice. It reminds me of those nice Bag End oiled birch cabs.

Those Bag Ends Fred mentioned were a big influence on my builds, along with the Dead's many natural finish cabs. Props to Don...

This is my favorite finish, bar none, of any cab I have seen. Natural wood just rings my bell.

Me too, love natural finish... Duratex just makes sense for where I play my cabs though.

Not to derail, but Torin did you see the 112 Git cab that Homer built for my dad? Its natural okoume too.

Thanks Charlie. Funny you mention the Dead cabs. The first natural finish 15/6 I built (and later 15Sub) was for a guy playing in a Dead tribute band.

Back when I was still living in CT there was at least one very popular tribute band using leftover pieces of the Wall Of Sound. I shared bills a few times in Seattle with another one, the bass player essentially had one of Phil's old rigs. Man, were those cabs heavy!

Don is the man! A Dually would look awesome like this too, but I'm glad I have my Duratex. Drink way too much when I play to have a wood-finish Dually

I'd feel like I need prettier amps if I owned this cab. That said, it looks great!

Pretty stuff.

I assume a cover is part of the package?

Might have to copy...err...be inspired by....something like that, though I'd be nervous hauling it around.

I do offer covers for all cabs I build these days. I linked up with Gary at Tuki Covers. Nice covers--made in USA--quick turnaround--great company to deal with.
