Bad preamp tube?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am currently using an Eden Metro combo. When I was moving the metro into my house earlier I noticed a rattling noise coming from inside. When I removed the amp to find out what it was, the preamp tube had come out and was moving around freely. After putting the tube back in the socket, I turned on the amp and the eq clip light stays on steadily and I am not getting any sound from the speakers, is this caused by a preamp that has either gone bad or is broken or is this possibly caused by something else?

Trying out a new tube will only cost a few dollars.

Here's to hoping it's only the tube.

Thanks for the replies! I will try that tomorrow. Hope that's all that is wrong.
