That head made me look for an Orange-like overdrive pedal though which has made me pretty happy. | I did two gigs this past weekend with the Orange Terror TB500h. Yeah, it imparts a degree of grind, but I felt it was plenty clean enough, yet with some old school vintage attitude. I gigged with the Input gain at noon at Master Vol at 9 o'Clock. (Into a 4 ohm load)

And Ken's post about the Faital driver extending quite high and getting meatier highs? ..This meets with my favor quite nicely too! | Hey Gary,
Since we are going in-depth on the ML112, one other comment. I've found most cabs aren't impacted by 'breaking in' very much. The ML112 is though, and will actually sound a bit more 'bright and tight' right out of the box. About an hour or two of playing will open up the low end enough so that the whole cab becomes nicely balanced.
I found this to happen on my Berg AE212 also. Most cabs, I hardly notice.
Just FYI (and also for others buying Roger's cab). Don't 'freak out' if the cab sounds quite aggressive right out of the box. Play it for an hour or two before you make any decisions on if you like it or not. |

Thanks for all your posts on these cabs by the way, it was your initial comments that got me interested, Roger should be paying you commission |

If that ML212 was just a tad lighter, I'd be ALL over that. Just a bit too much for me at this point. I tell you what, that cab is going to KILL if Roger decides to move ahead with it. |

Up until just recently, I've probably spent more time with the ML112 than just about anyone and I STILL don't own one!
Its a combination of having too much gear and not enough storage space. Also, I want to remain married to my wife.
As I'm sure most of you have experienced, Roger is about as good a guy to deal with as it gets. I've rarely seen anyone in the biz who wants to get it right as much as Roger. |

I'm a huge fan of that form factor.

I'm a huge fan of that form factor. | Given the nice nearfield spread of those midrange drivers, you would never notice the difference in height IMO. And, as long as you have a mid driver loaded cab, might as well have the two mid-drivers in the optimal configuration (close to one another). Minor point there!
That being said, 70 pounds is too much for me at this point. |

I happen to also agree with Chef. The 2 x ml112 configuration goes plenty deep and it is so easy to move. I can still do a long haul in one schlep, and I don't break my back getting them downstairs to the car from my 3rd floor flat! Plus there's the added bonus of being able to just take one when it's small hit. |

Not for me, thanks
(on a side note, how the hell does SWR get away with selling a 2x10 combo for $1700?!?) |
