My only concern is that it will be alittle prone to toppling over since it is only 13" deep. I've been e-mailing Alex back and forth and I think this cab will rock. And yeah, I'd like to see some pics too! Especially with the grill off. |

| | | | How would this cab pair up with a Jazz bass, Aguilar DB680 / DB 728? Seems a lot of cabs tend to fart out with a 5 string. Is this a ported vs. sealed cabinet inherent design issue? What is my best choice with this combination? Not much to select from locally. 8 hours one way to a stocked bass dealer. |

But keep in mind the 69'er is supposed to be voiced to emulate the tone of the mighty 69 sealed back Ampeg 810.
So it will color your tone, unlike other Barefaced cabs. You could have amazing tone from your Aguilar stack with other Barefaced cabs.

Im happy with my modded berg but, 35lbs less with possibly even better tone makes me very excited for this to be released. I am guessing that you have found some really good off the shelf drivers for the cab, just like your regular designs? Im also assuming that you have been using the CNC process to build some of these to have in stock before you do the official release? This wait is hard on a gear junkie. |

No ETA. It sounds like their shop is trying to catch up on old orders before putting out this cab. But, I wanted to get in line and shorten my wait time alittle. On paper, there isn't another cab that looks so perfectly matched to what I want. The super 15 cabs look great but, I have a feeling that I will always prefer sealed cabs for their compressed feel and quick note decay. I've heard great cabs with great drivers that just will never sound that way no matter what other outboard gear you use with it. |

I actually hope not. The huge dip in the mids starting at 500hz and going to 1khz really ruins those drivers for me. Sure, the 6th driver could fill in some of that range but, I don't know. On the other side of the coin, alex really knows what he's doing and if anyone could make it work, it would be him. Im sure that I will be on the edge of my seat until this cab comes out. |
