Barefaced will ship to USA

The Barefaced cabs are now available to ship to the USA. Details and pricing are available on his website. Anybody in the USA sprung for one yet? The build quality appears to be top notch and his take on speaker design/performance is certainly interesting.

This thread would've been about 10x more useful had it provided a link.

And you could have made it 10x more useful by providing one instead of harassing the op.

From http://barefacedbass.com/ordering-and-availability.htm

"We are now shipping the Midgets, Compact and Super Twelves to the USA. The $ (USD) prices including all shipping and handling charges to the lower 48 states are as follows:

Midget = $750
Midget T = $850
Compact = $850
Super Twelve = $1100
Super Twelve T = $1200"

This thread would be at least 10x more useful if Ken Jung buys one of these things and gives a review!

Some shipping methods, like FedEx priority, prepay the brokerage fees for shipments to the US. I hope for the sake of his potential clients that he has researched (and is using) a service like that. Otherwise, the auxiliary costs for buying one of these could really get out of hand.

Brokerage fees + taxes + duty = a lot more than the posted prices.

Everything will be going by FedEx so handling/clearance fees are included.

I am SO stoked!

Have been planning to get a GB NeoX 212T, but now I really really want a Super 12!

Quick question though - what's the difference between a Super 12 and a Super 12T? I couldn't find it on the website, although maybe I'm just dyslexic.

Oh... does Canada count as the US? Normally I'd be unhappy to be lumped in there with the US of A, but just this once, I'd be happy to let it slide!

Now what Alex needs is a factory over here so we can cut those prices down to something I can afford. Because that's what matters

The price to performance ratio is there though. It's amazing that Alex can get you Midget T for 850 shipped from England, where build costs are not cheap, for similar prices to what a lot of boutique manufacturers are charging here. And he uses an amazing plywood that's leaps and bounds ahead of the light poplar everyone else is using.

It's similar. I believe it uses a Beyma 605nd instead of a 6nd410, and the crossover is significantly superior to the GB crossover I'd imagine (I want to say Alex uses higher slopes but I don't think he's revealed much about it).

Very interesting. I completely wrote these cabs off because of shipping complexities. Now it's easy!

Essentiall yes, but all the crossovers and differently voiced mid drivers used in various executions (LDS, etc.) make each have their own voice.

Tom,

Will Bass Gear do a review of Barefaced cabs anytime soon?

(or has BG already done a review perhaps??)
