Bass Amp for Acoustic Guitar

Sign in to disble this ad
The best I've ever heard my acoustic guitar sound is thru a friends Traynor 8x8 being pushed by just a 1300w power amp. It was just a good clean warm tone that guitar amps, electric or acoustic, won't do. I would love to buy or build something that would give me that kind of sound only at about a 1/4 of the volume and size. Any ideas? I was thinking if I could find a combo with 4x8s or I've got some Bose 402 that I was thinking about taking apart and building into somekind of 6x4combo yet I know nothing about cabinet design. Thought I'd try building something 1st since I'd only be out the plywood, I've got a power amp and eq I could use. I really like the looks and what I've heard online from Phil Jones but that hurts the wallet just looking at them. Any other cabinet builders out there that a guitar player wouldn't know about? Thanks for any and all responses. Also I'm in eastern KY if anyone would like to get together and jam sometime, always looking to play with new people and expand the network.
