| Bass amp clipping

This is probably a really amateur question. I have a harke ha3000 300 watt bass head running into an acoustic b410 400 watt cab and a Hartke 4.5 xl 400 watt cab. This should give me 800 watts of handling. Yet any time I turn the head up to 6 or 7 it starts clipping like crazy. Is there a certain way I should hook up the cabs, like have one as an extension from the other, or run both straight from the head? Or is it just an EQ problem where I'm putting out too much bass? Any help to keep it from clipping so much |
