bass amps

hey guys.
im new to the forum im an aussie kid, any way i was looking at making a custom amp from some bits ive got to start off with i was goin to get the preamp out of my shitbox ashton ba15 and hocking it up to a 500 watt car sub amp with a 500 watt sony 12'' sub,
is it worth attepting

If the Sub's out of a car system, it may not handle it that well. Bass speakers usually have quite stiff suspension.

Still... If you've already got the bits & are prepared to risk it... Have a go.

I don't know what shitbox you're talking about but car subs and amps that run on 12VDC are worthless in the world of bass guitar. Fix the amp and hook it to a speaker designed for musical instrument/live sound reproduction and you may have something......or not.

the shitbox is the ashton ba15 amp and there is a guy on youtube that has done it but he doesnt a tweeter and ill be running it off a computer power supply
but if it works ill most probibly making a 4x12 cab and some custom shiz
