The cab is designed around the drivers.
So as DUW mentions, if you'd like to simple replace what you have, go ahead and at least measure the outside of the cab and how far in the front baffle is recessed and either I or someone else can run a quick and dirty on WinISD and get an idea of what drivers might work in there.
Oh yeah, and let us know how many ports, their diameter, and depth, or if it's a slot port those dimensions.
Also your speaker budget would help.

They usually have great sale prices on 200 watt bass speakers that would outperform the speakers that died on you, usually around $30. Check out their website. You can access their current sales flyers on their website. In my current gigging rig I'm using a pair of fairly compact cabinets with one of their 350 watt 12" speakers and a 6 1/2" Pyle sealed midrange in each, and they produce as much low end as any 15 I've used or have. |

| | | | So there are 2 speaker ports both have a diameter of 15 inches and a dept of 16 inches.
There are 2 vents behind each speaker that have a diameter of 5 inches
The divider in the middle is solid with a small hole in the middle connecting both of the speakers together with 2 wires.
the dimensions of the whole cab are 40x23x16 |

The closest thing to a slam dunk would be two Eminence CB158s IMHO, IME. My favorite bang for the buck 15", use them a lot in my builds.
If those are 4" diameter ports then they should be 6" length for starters.

the dimensions of the whole cab are 40x23x16 | the ports are directly behind the drivers? Hmmm, not ideal. They're just cut outs w/o any length beyond the thickness of the plywood?
SD's suggestion of checking MCM isn't a bad idea, I'm not as familiar with their stuff and I know people like them, esp for the price.

and are there any other suggestions for speakers? just so i have a couple to compare myself? |

Do you have a budget in mind?

I just replaced all 4 of my 10" speakers for just over a couple hundred bucks. Just find out what ohm your 15's are and match them up. |

the dimensions of the whole cab are 40x23x16 | Is that two port tubes per driver? What is their internal diameter and length? What is thickness of the timbers and setback of front panel ( known as the baffle ). Quite a difference in the internal to external volume with 1/2" here and 3/4" there.

It looks like so long as you don't send them stuff below bottom E they take the full 300W each with good senstivity. No wonder thay are popular.
If you do the sums on the actual internal volume less the port tubes, not sure about the back volume of the driver but I think that comes off too, that is your 2.75ft^3 target. These other guys can steer you on.
That's on budget $260 shipped + a few bucks on port tube drain pipe and glue, maybe some stuffing.

I really like those drivers for the money, very good tone and performance.
And they're very forgiving of cab size and tuning so if your cab isn't spot on 2.75 cu ft net there's no harm no foul since you're close enough.
Your next steps up are neo drivers and those'll exceed your budget.
