| I just kept my eye on eBay and such, stuff became available at a great price after patiently waiting.
As far as what to actually buy, it's difficult to say. The best advice you're likely to get from anybody is to find a music shop nearby, and sample what they've got. See what you like the sound of, also find clips online too, that's what I did. I couldn't actually try my head anywhere so I had to rely on YouTube and others opinions.
My cabs are a Peavey 410 and a Peavey 115 stack, they're a few years old but are in good condition. Built like tanks, you can't to wrong really.
I agree to buy used though, you'll save a fortune.
