Bass Head Choice

Hi, I have a Hartke vx410 ( I got it for cheap, and i dont actually have a head to go with it) ill probably upgrade the cab eventually. i was wondering what you guys would recommend as a head. I like the sound of my ampeg ba115 and if you dont know what i mean, its a nice warm sound. I'd like to spend no more than $200. I was looking at guitar center's website at their used equipment. $200 is going to be a tough hoop to jump through. I would look at CL or the for sale classifieds here.

50$ more will get you the little gk head new. You can get an older hartke head used for 200. I see b1r and b2r ampegs for 200 used sometimes too. I myself found a swr working mans 160 for less than 150. There is stuff but you have to be patient.

How bout Acoustics, i've seen a lot of b200h's for about $170, are they any good?

i saw an ampeg b2r for $170, does anyone know anything about the b2r's

Good deal if the b2r is in working condition, even better if its a US made model. They run about 5 or 6 hundred new. It'll sound like your combo.
