bassman 135 standby question

does the line recording output work while in standby mode?

I doubt it, as standby turns off the B+ voltage to all the tubes, leaving only the heater voltage on so that they don't have to warm up again.

The only tube amp that I know that has the preamp tubes always on, is the Peavey VB-2, you can use the amp on standby and use the DI out ,Pro & Post

On some amps (I think just some modern ones) the standby is actually just a mute, so some amps you might still get something somewhere along the line.
