I did play one of the 12" Tv combo's at SamAsh while buying a bass. I say go to one of the big stores and try them out. The Youtube vid. sounded great but try it yourself. . The quality seems is there.... . |

I know there is only so much that can be reasonably expected with a 1-10 combo, but if it has enough juice to hang in a blues band situation, with a moderate drummer, in rehearsals/small clubs, that'd be cool because I really like the tone and styling of this amp. |

Keep in mind, I play in a trio, drummer is playing with brushes, and our guitar player uses a 10 watt amp. Still, we are not a "quiet" band, and when we play big stages, I just use the direct line into the PA.
We play clubs, and it works fine. Never had to max it out or come even close to be heard or hear the bass. The TV Ten has presence!

i would like to try the 1 x 12" because i saw it at the musikmesse in frankfurt and was a little smaller, more portable indeed.
but its just 150 w, really dont know if it would be enough juice... if they had made the 12" with 250 w , i would already own one for sure...
i guess that would have made sense, 10" - 150w, 12"-250w and the 15" and 2 x 10" - 350w
anyway, they look very good

Nuno | Will do. I am thinking the twelve will be more "efficient" than the ten. Already compared the Ampeg B100R with the TV Ten, and the TV Ten does put out a more powerful signal, much louder. They both sound great, but to me, the Ampeg doesn't start to "cook" or sound real round and fat until I have the volume to about 6 ot 7. Keep in mind, this is without using the ultra low function. The TV Ten starts to get real loud at around 5, and at 7 is just killer loud for me and my purposes. I love it!

The TV 10 and 12, while more expensive than much of the competition, look attractive. They aren't likely to off a ton more power than the BA115, but are probably at least as loud and easier to cart around. The larger 2-10 and 1-15 models would really be more than I need, as I'm mostly an at-home palyer who only plays out occasionally. |

I find them VERY easy to move around and lift.
