I don't know jack about Basson cabs. But I just spotted one at a killer price... so what's their deal? What companies do they rub elbows with when it comes to quality, tone, etc?

It's $109 at GC Akron, in case anyone DOES have big power, a strong back, and the need for such a cab.

That's a very good price. That way you could keep you gigging cab for just that... Unless of course you have to move gear to and from rehearsals frequently. At that point I'd just pass... But I'm a wimp

| | | | I own and play through one of theses cabs. Although they are very heavey and it is definately a two person job to load it into a car, I think it sounds great. The cab will pretty much put out as much low end as you want it to providing you have the power. I run mine with a Crown XLS 402 and it works just fine! And at $109, that's a steal. |

Or buy it and save some money for chiropractic

I was kind of contemplating it for a practice space rig, but don't need it or have a power amp to power it properly.
If it's around when I get bored, I'll go get it just to have it for that price. Almost ANY 4x10 is worth $100 if it works, as far as I see it.

| | 667 Neighbor of the Beast. | | Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Houston, TX | | | I have the 210 version. Yes, it's ungodly heavy, takes a good deal of power, but sounds really good. The Basson 210 and Trace-Elliot head are my backups. My primary is an SWR SM-400 and a pair of Golaith 3's. If your playing rock or metal, the Basson has more of those thunder like lows than any cab I have ever played including Ampegs, IMHO. For $109 take it and try it. If you don't like it return it. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
