Battery powered ION Tailgater amp

I heard one of these this past weekend, and didn't get to plug in anything except a microphone & iPod... but, I was very impressed. It isn't gonna be the newest, biggest, best, most impressive, etc... but, it's got plenty of oomph & a self-contained battery pack. I'm sure it could be a very cool portable bass amp. Plenty cheaper on the 'Bay too...

Anyone have any 'real' experience with one of these?

I just played and outdoor talent show with one! heard it at my guitarists house and he brought it. we practices at his house for about 20min, then brought it to the one song. talent show. I AM SERIOUSLY considering tracking one down for our three guitar and one electric bass group! it weighs about 20 Lbs with batteries. thinking maybe I could run it on wall power most of the time and pull the batts until needed. can find them for less than 150 online. very nice low end tone, ok mids and highs. the lows just blew my mind. full and not too muddy. I think the full frequency design helped the sound versus a bass guitar response curve...

Ion has other portable pa's with instrument inputs AND wheels, but they weigh another 15-20 lbs and have a few hours more battery life. tailgater says its about 8 hours battery life, rechargable.
