Bear Paw amps???

Sign in to disble this ad
Yes, I did a search.

Wanting user reviews and feedback on Bear Paw.

Thinking of going all tube in a low volume ambient Jazz stitch which plays mostly the coffee house/ gallery circuit. Line up is guitar, sax, percussion and drums. Currently approach is a Acoustic Image Clarus and an Eden EX-112 (Wizzy 12 knock off). Axe is a Clement 5 string fret-less with a Nordstrand MM wired passive into a Tone-styler.

Any feedback on how much wattage will work?

I've done gigs like that with a 25w B-15N. No idea how much you'll need for your gig since only you can answer that, but I've done quite a few gigs with my B-15 where people thought I was nuts for even trying.

I think in that setting you can get away with around 30 watts and up, nothing is really competing with the bass sounds, and in a coffee house you wont be playing to loudly.
I have never played a Bear Paw, but i did send him a couple emails back and forth about converting a guitar tube amp into a bass amp. He seemed like a really nice guy, he gave a reasonable time line for the project and the price was good.

I can only assume the amps sound good lol
